Plan4Continuity has added QR code integration as part of its COVID-19 pre-screening tool. This new capability offers various advantages and can be implemented for further use cases such as access and contact tracing for pubs, restaurants, retail venues healthcare facilities or any other business space that receives daily visitors as well as event logistics management to name just a few. Some of the advantages include but are not limited to:
Plan4Continuity with QR integration runs in the browser, on PCs, tablets and smartphones and was recently successfully deployed at a large construction company and over 200 of its locations. The result: The company can now not only pre-screen employees before entering the workplace but also successfully trace every employee's whereabouts including entry times at each location.
1. Automatic COVID-19 alert notifications
When entering the workplace, employees or essential visitors can simply scan the QR code with their mobile phones, and quickly self-report their health status before entering the premises. Only once completed will the employee/visitor be granted access to the premises. Not only is this useful when notifying employees that they might have been in contact with someone who had the virus at the time but also for contact tracing and informing employees who were in contact with infected persons and could potentially be at risk of contracting the virus.
2. Real-time reporting and tracking
The cloud-based platform captures the data collected from employees and visitors and so effectively manage and limit the spread of COVID-19 at each physical location by having an accurate and complete record of people movements between branch locations.
3. Easy COVID-19 contact-tracing and improved emergency response
As mentioned above, should one of your employees or essential visitors be infected, you will be able to rapidly facilitate contact tracing and can immediately alert health professionals as well as anyone who may have been on your premises simultaneous with a confirmed COVID-19 case and so help stop the spread.
The QR code is back with a vengeance and has become a paramount addition to avoiding contamination through touch. We cannot respond to the COVID-19 pandemic with paper. Response, recording and reporting must rapid, precise and in real-time. Digital pre-screening and QR code integration are, therefore, the way forward.
